The Smiling Monad
Terms of use
These plain-language terms explain the conditions for using the Smiling Monad founding-user pilot. They are intended to be understandable, fair and transparent.
Pilot status
The Smiling Monad is being released first as a supervised founding-user pilot. Features may change as people test the app and report what needs improvement. Pilot access does not represent independent legal, clinical, NDIS or aged-care certification.
Your control and responsibility
You remain responsible for decisions made through your account. Kimi can help prepare information, organise work and suggest next steps, but consequential actions should remain visible to you and require your approval where appropriate. Do not rely on the app as the only source of urgent, medical, legal, financial or emergency advice.
Respectful and lawful use
Use the app only for lawful purposes. Do not misuse another person's account, upload material you do not have authority to share, harass another person, attempt to bypass permissions or interfere with the safety and operation of the service.
Sensitive information
Disability, health, care and family information can be highly sensitive. Only add information that is relevant, accurate and authorised. Check who will receive private information before sending it, and use need-to-know sharing inside the correct Circle of Support.
Accounts and security
Keep your sign-in details private, use a strong password and tell the pilot team if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. You may use the account-recovery pathway when you cannot sign in.
Connected services
The app may connect with services operated by other organisations. A connection must be authorised and should clearly show what information is being shared. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices and availability.
Availability and changes
The pilot may occasionally be unavailable while faults, security issues or improvements are addressed. Material changes to these terms should be explained clearly. Continued use after notice of a change indicates acceptance of the updated terms, unless a different agreement is required.
Questions, concerns and leaving
Use the Support and Privacy pathways for questions, complaints, access requests or concerns about your information. You may stop using the pilot. Requests involving correction, export, restriction or deletion will be handled through the available privacy process and any applicable record-keeping obligations.
